Growing up in a culturally rich yet underrepresented community, she has developed a deep understanding of the cultural nuances that can affect mental health care. However, she acknowledges that her experiences and identity can also shape her perceptions and biases, which may inadvertently impact the care provided to psychiatric patients.

Her privilege, particularly in terms of access to education and resources, allows her to advocate for the needs of her community, but it also necessitates a conscious effort to remain aware of any unconscious biases.
