Goal: To assess own leadership skills.

Content Requirements:

  1. Determine your preferred leadership style using The Foundation of Nursing Leadership’s: My main preference is using transformational leadership styles.
  2. Analyze your leadership skills based on your self-assessment.
  3. Identify strengths and opportunities for improvement based on your self-assessment.
  4. Create an action plan to address self-assessment capitalizing on strengths and addressing opportunities for improvement.

Title: Self-Assessment of Leadership Skills

Abstract: This self-assessment aims to determine my preferred leadership style, analyze my leadership skills, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and create an action plan for personal and professional growth. My main preference is using transformational leadership styles, and I will discuss how this influences my leadership abilities.

Introduction: Effective leadership is crucial in nursing and healthcare to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care and promote positive organizational outcomes. This self-assessment will help me evaluate my leadership skills and identify areas where I can improve to become a more effective nurse leader. My primary leadership style is transformational leadership, which focuses on inspiring and motivating others to achieve their full potential.

Preferred Leadership Style: My main preference is using transformational leadership styles. Transformational leadership is characterized by inspiring and motivating team members, fostering innovation, and promoting personal and professional growth. I believe in creating a vision for the future, setting high expectations, and providing support and encouragement to help my team members reach their goals.
